Matthew Kuhns, President

Matthew helps a select group of families, primarily IT and GOVCON professionals, whose income or asset complexities necessitate a professional financial advisor who can personalize their wealth strategies. He has developed and refined a process to put all of the financial pieces of the puzzle together as his clients’ needs evolve and their lives unfold.

Prior to starting his own firm, Matthew spent eight years leading the Edward Jones office in Reston, Virginia and two years managing the Cardinal Bank branch in Arlington, Virginia. Before becoming a wealth advisor, Matthew was a symphony musician. He appeared with the Minnesota Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony, and on National Public Radio and PBS.

Matthew has an undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University, a master’s degree from Indiana University in Bloomington and a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Matthew serves on the National Council for the Aspen Music Festival and School in Aspen, Colorado. Matthew lives in Ashburn, Virginia, with his son, Henry, and daughter, Rachel. He and his family enjoy sailing and hiking in the warmer months, skiing in the colder months, and home smoked BBQ year round.
